Soundtrack Game

Fri Aug 17, 2007, 8:14 AM
I haven't updated my journal in ages and I saw this in a friend's blog.

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player,iPod, etc.)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool.

Rare Albums

Wed Mar 7, 2007, 12:51 AM
Ok. I will enumerate three of the rare CDs I own. By "rare" I meant that the artists are mostly unsigned (except to some virtually unknown label) and have not yet reached the mainstream. You can obtain their albums through the internet or through certain locations or special requests. Here they are:

"Violation Time Bomb"
Band: Orbis
Genre: Some kind of punk I guess.
Country: Belgium
Label/Company: Troubled Youth Records
Year: 2003 (?)
Band website: [link]
Description: This is more of a single actually. It has four tracks written by their (hot) vocalist Steven VanRossem who also doubles as the lead guitarist. The band currently consists of three guys but there was four of them when the CD was recorded. The album cover is black with a tiger striped bunny because they originally planned on calling it "Kill the Wabbit". You can get it by personally e-mailing the band. They are reaaally nice! I got this album for free after about a month of correspondence with their bassist Mich.

"Chicosci"
Band: Chicosci
Genre: Pop Punk, alternative
Country: Philippines
Label/Company: Tower of Doom Studios
Year: 2006
Band website: [link]
Description: Well, I must say that this album wasn't as good as their "Icarus" album of 2004 distributed by Viva Records. This album is causing me a lot of headache because it took me months to obtain because its supposed release on 6/6/6 kept getting moved or they simply just can't distribute their CD well... Also, I've been eating my guts out trying to get it signed but because of their recent success with their video "Seven Black Roses" that topped the Myx hit charts (I couldn't get near them)... Chicosci is a six piece band playing in the local Manila circuit and they have changed from their more aggressive screamy punk sound into a more MCR-ish alternative that is generally more digestable by the masses. Still love them though. P.S. This album is not available anymore because of the new repackaged edition that replaced the white casing when they gained a little local success.

"Krankhaus Special 2-disk edition"
Band: Angelspit
Genre: Industrial, Cyberpunk Electro Goth (According to a German review I read... yeah I read German!!)
Country: Australia
Label/Company: Dancing Ferret Discs
Year: 2007
Band Website: [link]
Description: I worship Angelspit so you just have to imagine how much I coveted this album... I bugged my dad to order it online and I eventually managed to convince him. When it arrived it brought me to tears (no kidding) and I listened to the entire album thrice within a single day. I mostly found out about them from a bulletin posted on myspace and I've been listening to them since July of 2006. THEY ARE FUCK AWESOME! Lately I've been really stuck on "Make You Sin" and "Get Even" but the whole album is just really great... I DEFINITELY recommend getting this album.... AND the Wreak Havoc remix by Stromkern is so frickin addictive!!! Angelspit consists of a pair who call themselves Zoog and Destroyx and they have the absolute BEST fashion ever... They plan on moving to Germany sometime this year (why didn't I continue living in Germany???) LISTEN NOW! They have a couple of songs on their website.

A chain thing I suppose... I have to offer 10 free sketches?

1. Fanart only. No original characters.
2. 1 character per request
3. 1 request only of course...
4. I think I'm allowed some sort of "artistic freedom"? (that means I can modify the characters a bit)
